Purpose of the Study:

  • To compare the long-term efficacy and outcomes of the McBride soft tissue procedure versus the Mitchell metatarsal osteotomy for hallux valgus correction.

  • Retrospective analysis of 49 feet (33 patients) undergoing surgery between 1987-1992.
  • Comparison of McBride's procedure (20 feet) and Mitchell osteotomy (29 feet) based on clinical outcomes and radiographic measurements.
