Five-year multiple drug therapy in Bendel State leprosy control service--an overview

The effect of multiple drug therapy (MDT) on the prevalence rate of leprosy over a five year period is analysed and discussed. Prevalence rate dropped by about 37%. It is envisaged that the effect on the incidence rate takes much longer to manifest.
