Summary

Prophylactic intravenous ondansetron effectively prevents postoperative nausea and vomiting (PONV) in patients undergoing abdominal surgery. This safe and well-tolerated antiemetic significantly reduced nausea and vomiting for up to 24 hours post-surgery.
