    Patients on hemodialysis show lower thyroid hormone levels (T4, T3) despite normal thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH). This suggests an unexplained issue with TSH secretion control in dialysis patients.

    Background:

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To investigate thyroid function in clinically euthyroid patients on maintenance hemodialysis.
    • To compare thyroid hormone levels, including total and free T4 and T3, in dialysis patients versus healthy controls.
