Forgetting sexual trauma: what does it mean when 38% forget?

Summary

Many childhood sexual abuse survivors do not recall the trauma decades later, challenging claims of guaranteed memory recovery. This research indicates that forgetting is possible, disproving absolute memory recall in sexual assault cases.
