Twenty-three patients locally advanced cervical cancer Stage IIB-IV underwent extraperitoneal staging pelvic and para-aortic node sampling via a single incision. All surgeries were completed in under one hour and most patients discharged within 2 days. The method of staging is a minimally invasive technique with minimal morbidity that requires only brief hospitalization and allows rapid resection of even bulky disease without disruption of peritoneal surfaces or increased risk of radiation-related enteric complications.
