Abstract:
The pancreas to jejunal anastamosis after pancreaticoduodenectomy can be a troublesome and difficult procedure. We describe a single-layered intussuscepted end-to-end anastamosis that has been used in both the trauma and elective settings with good results. The technique is easily and quickly performed and allows for uniform placement, tension, and depth of sutures, even in the nonfibrotic pancreas.
