Abstract:
Diet, exercise and stress are widely acknowledged to affect the timing and course of pubertal development and menstrual cyclicity in girls. However, the mechanisms by which this occurs and the long-term effects of such alterations are incompletely understood. Several recent reports which contribute to our understanding of normal events and alterations from normal are reviewed.
