Abstract:
Continuing professional education (CPE) is an important activity for the perioperative nurse. This chapter discusses the focus on dissemination of information without follow through examination of the effectiveness of the process. Evaluation based on outcome, to establish a verifiable link between education and the impact on practice, is presented. Current CPE terms and related concepts are detailed.
