Health care costs now demand value for each dollar spent. Funding for perioperative educational activities is a very precious commodity and cannot be spent in a frivolous manner. The perioperative educator must ensure all resources are spent to gain the maximum benefit, and that the activity is purposeful with improvement in performance as the expectation.
