Abstract:
Lymphocyte subsets involved in the rejection of polyoma virus-induced tumors were studied. Depletion of CD4+ and CD8+ T cells as well as natural killer cells was performed in mice using monoclonal antibodies or anti-asialo GM1 anti-serum. Both CD4+ and CD8+ T cell subsets were found to be necessary for the rejection of polyoma virus-induced tumors, while natural killer cells played a minor, if any, role.
