Soluble intercellular adhesion molecule-1 (sICAM-1) is elevated in rheumatoid arthritis (RA) synovial fluid, correlating with leukocyte counts. Mononuclear cells in RA synovial fluid are the primary producers of sICAM-1, suggesting its role in inflammatory cell trafficking.
