Increased levels of circulating intercellular adhesion molecule-1 in patients with localized scleroderma

Serum levels of circulating intercellular adhesion molecule-1 (cICAM-1) were elevated in patients with localized scleroderma. Higher cICAM-1 levels correlated with disease severity and immune markers, suggesting immune activation in localized scleroderma.
