    This study compared four depression detection methods in fibromyalgia patients. The Beck Depression Inventory (BDI) showed high sensitivity, while the adjusted BDI (BDI-A) offered the best specificity for diagnosing depression.

    Background:

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To investigate the relationships among four distinct methods for detecting depression in patients diagnosed with fibromyalgia.
    • To compare the diagnostic accuracy, sensitivity, and specificity of these methods.

    • A cohort of 100 women diagnosed with fibromyalgia (mean age 43) participated.
