Wound management: the hospital-community divide

There is a divide between hospital and community in relation to the availability of wound dressing products. The Drug Tariff is the focus for this divide but is not the only cause of the problem. The issues of communication and education have an important part to play. A multidisciplinary approach is required to address the problems.
