Abstract:
As the world becomes more interdependent, nurses must become more knowledgeable about transcultural issues. In order to prepare nursing students to work in a multicultural world, faculty members must become actively involved in activities which will increase their cultural knowledge and sensitivity. Involvement in transcultural nursing education projects can provide an excellent opportunity to learn and grow. The authors describe their experiences, some key pedagogical issues encountered and some lessons learned.
