Cortisol response in acute foetal distress

Summary

Neonatal cortisol levels did not significantly differ between infants with or without acute intrapartum distress. Maternal cortisol levels positively correlated with cord arterial cortisol, but no significant cortisol response was observed in neonates experiencing acute fetal distress.
