The anti-inflammatory effect of opioids

Novel opioids, PM and PO, and pethidine demonstrated significant anti-inflammatory effects in mice by inhibiting paw edema. This action was independent of antioxidant properties and not reversed by naloxone, suggesting novel mechanisms of action.
