[The forensic medical significance of brain tumors]

Thirty-three cases of death because of brain tumors are described. The age and sex of dead subjects are analyzed, as are the place and causes of death and morphologic features of the tumors. Neuroectodermal tumors of the glioblastoma or neurinoma types were the most incident. Seven patients were hospitalized and in none of the cases a correct diagnosis was made in life. Forensic medical significance of brain tumors is demonstrated.
