Summary
Thyroid peroxidase (TPO) antibodies are frequently found in patients with abnormal thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) levels. Testing for TPO antibodies is valuable in diagnosing thyroid dysfunction, especially when TSH levels are irregular.
