Abstract:

Increasing pressure on nursing budgets is being reflected by the introduction of nurse workload measurement tools into the clinical nursing environment. The author describes the introduction of GRASP, a nurse workload measurement tool, into the Accident and Emergency (A & E) department of a large teaching hospital.
