Abstract:
We urgently need to find a model for the aging processes and age-related diseases (cardiovascular; tumors), in order to be able to make a detailed appraisal of the many results obtained. An "evolutionary" theory of aging is proposed, in which the diminishing function of the thymus gland plays an important part.
