An evaluation of parent-held child health records

Parent-held child health records are widely seen as an effective way to give information about their child's health and care to parents. Randa Charles assesses the response of parents and professionals to the introduction of the record in one area of the North Staffordshire health district, its benefits for health promotion, and the extent to which it has improved communication both between child health professionals and between professionals and parents.
