Care of frail elders with relinquishing dispositions

Nurses, social workers, and other home healthcare professionals enhance services to older adults by using disposition-specific care strategies. The concept of "relinquishing dispositions" is explicated in this article. Criteria for identifying relinquishing elders and strategies of care for these elders are presented.
