[Quality control of cytologic diagnosis]

To assure the quality of cytologic diagnosis, the most important process is review of the previous cytologic and histologic examinations. Correlations of cytologic-histologic diagnosis should be reconfirmed. If diagnostic inconsistency is found, the cause must be explained. Now the computer system combining cytologic and histologic records is indispensable for quality control of cytologic diagnosis.
