Abstract:
The authors present views, selected from the literature, on the development and significance of impedance audiometry as well as on the clinical application of this objective method in audiological and otoneurological diagnosis. Special attention is paid to the usefulness of impedance audiometry in objectivization of the hearing threshold and detection of simulation in the diagnosis of occupational hearing impairments.
