A study of students who leave pre-registration midwifery

Is the student who is likely to leave a course recognisable from the outset? The Maggs Research Associates (MRA) study on pre-registration midwifery education, funded by the Department of Health, recently reported its findings and recommendations. This paper looks closely at the reasons why people left these innovative courses for preparation as a midwife.
