[Superior laryngeal nerve in thyroid surgery]

Summary

Thyroid surgery can damage the external branch of the superior laryngeal nerve, causing voice problems. New diagnostic tools reveal a high incidence of nerve lesions, highlighting the need for protective surgical techniques.
