Tissue adhesive (N-butyl-2-cyanoacrylate) demonstrated superior resistance to bacterial infection compared to polypropylene sutures. While sutures initially offered greater wound strength, tissue adhesive achieved comparable strength within seven days, with faster application and reduced skill requirements.
