Summary

Toric intraocular lenses (IOLs) effectively correct astigmatism after cataract surgery. For best results, ensure the toric IOL axis shift is less than 30 degrees post-implantation.

Purpose of the Study:

  • 47 patients with against-the-rule astigmatism received toric IOLs (2.00 D or 3.00 D) after phacoemulsification.
  • Visual acuity and lens axis position were assessed three months postoperatively.
