Summary

Vigabatrin, a new antiepileptic drug, reduces seizure activity by preventing the breakdown of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA). This supplementary therapy showed significant seizure reduction in patients with intractable epilepsy, particularly those with partial epilepsy.
