Summary

The Bacterial N-Acetylated Alpha-Galactosaminidase (BANA) test shows a significant association with subjective oral malodor assessments, independent of volatile sulfide measurements. This suggests BANA testing can complement sulfide monitoring for a comprehensive oral malodor evaluation.
