Summary

A patient with heparin-induced thrombocytopenia and thrombosis syndrome underwent successful removal of a right atrial foreign body using heparinless cardiopulmonary bypass. Pretreatment with ancrod, an antifibrinolytic agent, facilitated the procedure.
