This study presents extraperitoneal laparoscopic adrenalectomy for adrenal tumors. This minimally invasive technique offers direct access without organ mobilization, enhancing surgical outcomes.

Background:

Adrenalectomy is a surgical procedure to remove one or both adrenal glands.
Minimally invasive approaches are increasingly preferred for adrenalectomy.
The extraperitoneal approach offers a distinct surgical pathway.

Observation:

Two cases of extraperitoneal laparoscopic adrenalectomy were performed.
Case 1: Left-sided 1 cm Conn's tumor.
Case 2: Right-sided 3.5 cm incidental non-functioning tumor.

Findings:

The extraperitoneal approach provided direct access to the adrenal glands.
Abdominal organ mobilization was not required.
All benefits of minimal access surgery were preserved.
