Calcium concentration significantly impacts staphylococcal protein A (SpA) incorporation into dipalmitoylphosphatidic acid (DPPA) monolayers. High calcium levels (> millimolar) exclude over 90% of adsorbed SpA, affecting IgG binding activity.
