  • Copying accuracy differed based on the boundary's position (left vs. right edge) within the figure.

Findings:

  • Accurate contour copying occurred when boundaries served as the right edges of sub-figures.
  • Patients failed to accurately copy contours when boundaries were the left edges, even after tactile tracing.

Implications:

  • Supports an object-centered representational deficit in neglect.
  • Suggests neglect impacts the internal representation and manipulation of object parts.
