Summary

Surgical treatment for severe apabilae dysfunction of the temporomandibular joint (SADAM) is reserved for patients with irreversible lesions unresponsive to other therapies. Conservative arthrotomy aims to repair disk and articular surfaces while addressing underlying causes for improved joint function.
