Background:

Hereditary mucoepithelial dysplasia is a rare autosomal recessive disorder.
Understanding its clinical and ultrastructural characteristics is crucial for diagnosis.

Observation:

An individual presented with clinical features suggestive of hereditary mucoepithelial dysplasia.
Oral mucosal biopsy specimens were obtained for detailed examination.

Findings:

Characteristic ultrastructural changes were identified in the oral mucosal biopsy.
These findings confirmed the diagnosis of hereditary mucoepithelial dysplasia.

Implications:

This case highlights the diagnostic utility of ultrastructural analysis in rare genetic disorders.
