[Effect of glycerin-based multicomponent solution on blood parameters in its continuous intravenous administration]
Abstract:
A multicomponent solution for replacement of acute blood loss, consisting of 4.5% protein, 15% glycerin, 0.9% sodium chloride, 0.03% potassium chloride, 79.57% of water for injections, is suggested. The solution is used at the first hours after blood loss for prevention of shock by means of fluid redistribution between the aqueous sectors of the organism. In prolonged intravenous administration (every day within 30 days), the solution has no unfavourable effect on the organism. Selection of the components permits to eliminate the unfavourable effect of glycerin on the erythrocytes. It is recommended to use the multicomponent solution as a dehydrating and diuretic substance.
