Abstract:
An extension of the well-known perturbation quantum mechanical analysis of electron tunnelling through biological transfer chains shows that oscillating electric fields can increase the rate of this process in living organisms. Such a non-thermal effect can reveal new environmental health aspects of electromagnetic fields.
