Abstract:
Interventional radiology provides a minimally invasive and less stressful alternative to surgery in the treatment of intractable epistaxis. This is illustrated by the case of an 83-year-old male patient with epistaxis after biopsy of an intranasal metastasis. In this patient embolization obliviated surgery, which was considered a high risk because of the patient's condition.
