Blood level estimation in phenytoin treatment of epilepsy
Abstract:
Observations are presented on the monitoring of blood levels of phenytoin. Amongst blood samples from 453 adults and 136 children substantial numbers were either well below the therapeutically most effective range or within the potentially toxic range. The value of blood level monitoring in management of epilepsy with phenytoin is emphasised.
