Empowering patient and carer through terminal MND

This paper provides a sensitive account of the nursing and social care given to a man dying of motor neurone disease. The emphasis of this care study is on the importance of the involvement of the patient and his wife in the discussions about his care and the value of ensuring that the couple retained a measure of control up to the death of the husband.
