[Computed tomographic aspects in drusen of the optic papilla]

Abstract:
Besides the ophthalmoscopic and angiofluorographic exams, the computerized tomography is an useful investigation in standing the diagnosis of optic nerve's papilla drusen. Computerized tomography effecting is recommended in cases of drusen with deep localization or in cases associated with other affections of the posterior pole. The result of the investigation, manifested as a hyperdense image at the level of optic disc, is relevant for the establishment of diagnosis.
