[Calculation of the integral indicator of human thermal status]
Abstract:
Formulae are developed, which describe the influence of changed human heat status on the certain physiological parameters (average body and skin temperatures, gradient of average temperature from chest to feet, water losses and pulse gradients). An algorithm is elaborated for calculation of integral parameter of human heat status, which is expressed in numbers. The parameter accounts for the heat exchange between body and environment, takes heat containing, thermoregulation and heat sensation levels into consideration.

In order to solve a problem related to heat transfer, first of all, the situation needs to be examined to determine the type of heat transfer involved. This could...
Mechanisms of Heat Transfer
Conduction, accounting for approximately 3% of body heat loss at rest, is the process of exchanging heat between molecules of two materials in direct contact. This can result in both heat loss and gain. For instance, when the body is submerged in water, which conducts heat 20 times more effectively than air, it can either lose or gain significant heat.
