Successful retrieval of coil after unintentional embolization of portal vein system: a case report

A rare case of unintentional release of a stainless steel coil into the portal system is reported. The coil migrated into the right portal vein, and the situation was resolved successfully by retrieval of the coil with a homemade loop snare.
