AIDS-related anxiety and coping methods in a support group for caregivers

This article explores the anxiety faced at the front lines by caregivers of persons with acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS), and in particular their ways of coping with the anxiety. Data were collected using a qualitative approach, in a support group that met for 15 weeks. The design was used to generate grounded theory about caregivers' methods of coping with AIDS-related anxiety.
