Marker chromosome in myeloproliferative syndrome

Chromosomal aberrations in a case of atypic myeloproliferative syndrome are reported. The analysis was carried out on short-term cultures of sternal bone marrow with the ASG and fluorescence method. 90% of the metaphases studied showed pseudoliploidy: one of the chromosomes 12 was missing and one submedian marker chromosome of medium size and atypical morphology appeared.
