Abstract:
The ultrastructure of synapses in the pyramidal tract in the medulla oblongata have been described in a human fetus of 220 mm C.-R. length (23 postovulatory weeks). The mature synaptic junctions and the protosynapses were found above and at the level of the pyramidal decussation.
