Summary

Long-term benzodiazepine use did not significantly alter overall brain structure. However, heavy users, especially those taking lorazepam, showed minor differences in specific brain region density compared to nonusers.

Background:

Purpose of the Study:

  • To investigate the impact of benzodiazepine use on brain structure.
